Just as for “A” Meets, a meet sheet will be emailed listing those swimmers who have qualified to represent Camelot at the Relay Carnival. As only one team is registered for each event at the Relay Carnival, the whole team must forfeit if a designated swimmer does not participate. It is very important that swimmers confirm their participation with the coaches for this event. Please do not leave the meet after swimming in your relay. Please check with the coaches to make sure you are not entered in another relay event.

The Division Relay Carnivals are scored meets. The winning team is officially recognized and receives a trophy. The Knights won the Division 9 Relay Carnival in 2024! Times from the Relay Carnivals of all 17 NVSL divisions are collected, and the relay teams with the top 18 times across the league are invited to the All Star Relay Carnival.

ALL STAR RELAY CARNIVAL

Every year on the Wednesday evening after the 3rd or 4th “A” Meet of the season, the top 18 relay teams for each event competed at the Division Relay Carnivals are invited to compete at the All Star Relay Carnival.

Those swimmers who qualified for All Star Relays at the Division Relay Carnival will be the same swimmers who represent Camelot at the All Star Relay Carnival. It is very important that swimmers confirm their participation with the coaches for this event. A team that qualifies for the All Star Relay will be allowed one substitution as long as three of the swimmers who qualified are swimming. Substitutions will be allowed only for sickness, injury, or absence.

The All Star Relay Carnival is a scored meet. The winning team is officially recognized and receives a trophy. NVSL also uses the points each team scores at the Division Relay Carnivals and All Star Relay Carnival to help seed NVSL teams in the 17 divisions the following year.

DIVISION INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP MEET (Divisionals)

Every year at the middle/end of July, each of the 17 divisions comprising the NVSL holds an Individual Divisional Championship Meet (referred to as “Divisionals”) at one of the division’s pools. Each of the six teams in the division sends two swimmers in each event, for a total of 12 swimmers (two heats) for every event. In addition to the individual events that are part of the “A” Meets, swimmers may also compete in the Individual Medley (IM). Each swimmer can swim no more than 2 events. Events are chosen for swimmers based on best times and swimmer preference.

Not all teams have two swimmers available for each event. When this happens, other teams have an opportunity to add an additional swimmer from their team. These slots are filled based on the swimmer who has the next fastest time (and is not already entered in 2 events) across the 6 teams of the division. On the day of Divisionals, a swimmer who can't swim due to emergency or illness will be replaced by an alternate.

For seeding purposes at Divisionals, each swimmer’s fastest current season time is used.

Team scores are NOT kept for this meet; it really is for the individual swimmers. The times from each of the 17 NVSL Divisional Meets are collected, and the swimmers with the top 18 times, plus two alternates, are invited to swim in Individual All Stars.

INDIVIDUAL ALL STARS

Individual All Stars is always held on the last Saturday of July. The swimmers with the 18 fastest times in each event from the 17 Divisionals Meets qualify for All Stars. Two alternates are also designated. There are three heats for each event at All Stars. No team scores are kept for this meet; it really is for the individual swimmers.
